During 2022, investors dealt with numerous shifts that dethroned previously high-flying tech stocks...
Every decade since 1950 has had a key investment theme. In the 1950’s, it was European stocks; in the 1980's, it was Japanese stocks; and in the 2010's, it was the American “Mega Caps.” What will be the key theme in the new decade that is just two years old? So far, the areas that Barry focuses on, such as high-dividend payers, value and international are all off to a fast start during 2023. We’ll be watching closely in the coming weeks, months, and years.

Axe Throwing!!
This month's Employee Favorite is a favorite among the entire Barry team as of this past Friday. As you will read below, the team all went Axe throwing together as a team building exercise after our Annual Strategy Meeting this past Friday. There are multiple locations around the country, so anyone can join in the fun! It was a fun night together, but we're warning you...it is harder than it looks!

Beth Parker celebrated her fifth anniversary with Barry Investment Advisors on January 22nd. Happy Anniversary, Beth!
Dan attended CFA Society Providence’s Annual Outlook Dinner featuring Erik L. Knutzen, CFA, CAIA, Managing Director and Co-Head of the Neuberger Berman Quantitative and Multi-Asset investment team and Multi-Asset Chief Investment Officer. Erik is responsible for leading the management of multi-asset portfolios, driving the asset allocation process on a firm-wide level.
The team held its Annual Strategy Meeting on Friday, January 27th, followed by a team building event at Stumpy's in Fall River where we went Axe Throwing! It was a productive and fun-filled day and evening had by all!
