In this month’s newsletter, we discuss the investor emotion cycle and share our favorite grill for summer
We hope you and your family are enjoying summer and that you are able to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends - something we're all thankful for in 2021!
For this month’s newsletter, Joe Barry discusses the investing emotion cycle. Watch the video and see if you can gauge where the public’s temperament is on six key investing topics: inflation, junk debt, FAANG stocks, real estate, cryptocurrency, and the government’s ability to bail out markets.
As always, if you have questions or comments about the ideas shared, we invite you to connect with our team!
The investing emotion cycle tracks the investing public’s temperament towards an asset, idea, or belief. It flows from lowest popularity (price bottom) to greatest acceptance (price peak). A round trip is usually measured in years with frequent partial reversals.
We frequently use this framework to gauge market sentiment and to help us understand when markets are exhibiting irrational exuberance (or despondency).
Be sure to listen to the podcast above to hear Joe's thoughts.

A Great Grill
The Big Green Egg is great for summer grilling and it flavors the food in a way that is hard to replicate with normal charcoal. Not only can you grill meats and vegetables, but you can also make pizzas, which is a fun activity to do with family and friends!
