We believe that our people are our strength. Our passionate advisors are driven to meet and exceed the unique goals of each individual client.
I’ve been working with Joe Barry for just over 25 years. I started doing trades (and manually reconciling them on paper!), went on to obtain my CFP and served as a Financial Planner and am currently a Financial Advisor for the firm. My experience at the firm has been nothing short of rewarding. I love working with my clients and knowing their “story,” whether it be about their family history, their interests or their financial picture. I find it very gratifying when our team can help clients move towards financial freedom.
I grew up in East Freetown, MA and still reside in Southeastern Massachusetts with my husband, my two sons and last, but not least, our beloved dog, Lilly. I am an avid New England Patriots fan and can be found at most of their home games. I also enjoy cross-fit, spinning, golf and traveling – specifically to Aruba. The best piece of financial advice I’ve received is to “buy a company on sale and then be patient.”

I was introduced to the art of serving clients at an early age when I began working at my father’s furniture store in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. My father served as my mentor and taught me that client service is all about the Golden Rule. We treat clients how they want to be treated.
While studying business at Babson College, I was drawn to the excitement of Wall Street and knew I wanted to pursue a career in the financial industry. I began my career in 1974 as an Account Executive at Merrill Lynch. After 25 years at Merrill, I transferred to A.G. Edwards as a Senior Vice President/Branch Manager and in 2007, created the independent advisory firm, Barry Investment Advisors, LLC, with my son, Patrick Barry. I have continued to follow the Golden Rule throughout my 43-year career and believe this is why our business has achieved so many long-lasting relationships with clients and their families.

I started working at Barry in 2019 as a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst and have recently taken on the role of financial advisor in addition to assisting with the management of the firm’s investment strategies and underlying investments. I enjoy working with clients and helping connect the dots between their life goals and financial assets.
Prior to joining the team at Barry, I managed assets for foundations, endowments, and individuals & families. In addition to wealth management, I have a broad range of experience that spans commercial real estate, precious metals, and investment administration.
In 2010, I received a Master of Science in Finance degree from Northeastern University. Additionally, I am a CFA charter holder, CFP®, CAIA, and current board member of CFA Society Providence.

I am originally from Reading, Massachusetts and grew up with a father who was a CPA, so I was introduced to the world of finance at a young age. After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at Villanova University, I began my career as a Mutual Fund Accountant at Pioneer Investments and then went to work for Calibre Advisory Services as an associate of financial and estate planning. After being introduced to the client service industry at Calibre, I knew that I wanted to continue my career working with clients, so in 2010, I joined the Barry team as a Client Service Manager. I then obtained a Master of Science degree in Financial Planning from Bentley University and became a licensed Certified Financial Planner in 2013.
I’ve worked with many clients over the course of my nearly 10 years at Barry Investment Advisors and there is nothing that makes me happier than knowing that, as their financial planner, I was able to help them achieve their financial goals. When not at work, I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors with my husband and our son, Brayden. The best piece of financial advice that I’ve received is to start contributing to a Roth IRA and/or a 401(k) as soon as possible.

I grew up in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts and currently reside just up the road in Fairhaven, Massachusetts with my husband, our son, and our rescue dog, Maya. I attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with the goal of working for a financial services firm in a planning role.
I began my career as an Administrative Assistant at Northeast Planning Associates in Fairhaven and soon after, became a Paraplanner and finally, the Practice Manager for the firm. I began working for Barry Investment Advisors as a Paraplanner in January of 2018 and have since obtained my Certified Financial Planning (CFP™) license in March 2021. I love meeting new people and look forward to building long-lasting relationships with our clients and their families as well as assisting them to achieve their financial goals.
When not at work, my husband and I enjoy walking with our son, hiking with our dog and doing various renovation projects on our new house. The best piece of financial advice I have ever received? Building your financial picture is much like building a home; you must start with a solid foundation. Additionally, always pay yourself first.

I am originally from Wisconsin (Go Packers!) and moved to New England in 2001. After receiving my Masters in Accounting from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, I joined Arthur Andersen as a staff auditor. I spent 8 years in public accounting and then moved on to do SEC Reporting for KVH Industries, Inc. and then for LIN Media, LLC in Providence, RI.
I was offered the position of Director of Operations for Barry Investment Advisors in 2013 and welcomed the opportunity to learn a new role in a new industry. I really enjoy working with a team who has such passion not only for their jobs, but also for our clients. They truly go above and beyond every day. As the Director of Operations for the firm, I oversee day-to-day trade activity and the processes which make our business tick.

I always knew I wanted to have a job in the finance world. From a very young age, my idea of “playing” was inventing and running imaginary businesses. My dream came true when, during my sophomore year in college, I opened my first business, an ice cream shop called Stillwater Café located in my hometown of Sterling, Massachusetts. I continued to pursue a career in the business world by obtaining my MBA at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Since graduating, I have worked as a Bank Teller at Rockland Trust and a Financial Services Representative at New York Life.
I joined the Barry Investment Advisors as a Client Service Manager in 2014 and have enjoyed being able to help clients make their financial lives a bit easier, whether it is solving a problem for them or just being a friendly point of contact. I serve as the primary liaison between you and our custodians and can assist with account opening, cashiering, and any other account-specific questions or transactions. When not at work, I enjoy visiting family, traveling and enjoying life on the coast and all that is has to offer. My favorite piece of financial advice I have received? “Live within your means and make saving part of every paycheck automatic.”

I am originally from Southern Maine and lived there until I went to college at Salve Regina in Newport, Rhode Island. I started working in the financial industry in 2012 when I worked for a small family office based in New York City, assisting them with their marketing and helping to establish their client base.
I was drawn to Barry Investment Advisors because I was interested in learning more about the industry and their holistic approach to financial planning and investing. Although I wear a number of different hats at Barry, my primary role is creating the review pieces for our clients as well as scheduling their review appointments with their financial advisor and financial planners. I am also available to assist clients with money movement or account specific requests.
I currently live in Portsmouth, Rhode Island with my husband, Mike, our two children, Will and Maggie, and our two cats . We enjoy playing soccer together, going to the beach and visiting family in Maine and New York City. The greatest piece of financial advice I have received is from my mom. When I got my first job as a teenager, she made sure I always put half of my pay into savings. I would track my account with a passbook and loved to watch it grow!

I grew up in upstate New York, but my father was in the Navy, so myself and my five brothers were able to experience living in a number of places including Hawaii, Maine, and South Carolina. I graduated from Georgetown University Law School and began my career as a Project Manager at Padanaram Associates. From there, I served as the Executive Director of Tifereth Israel Congregation and then as Principal of SMB InfoTech, LLC.
In 2009, I was approached by Joe and Pat Barry to join the team at Barry as a Compliance Officer. Having never worked in finance, I was excited for a new experience and challenge. I especially enjoy providing service to our clients and assisting them whenever necessary. Currently, as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer, I handle all compliance-related matters for the firm but am also available to assist with account-specific questions or transactions.
When not working, I enjoy cooking and gardening. My favorite piece of financial advice I have received? “Contribute to a retirement account…”

I grew up in a small town outside of Oakland/San Francisco and moved to New England to go to Boston University in 2011. I was just entering my teenage years when the financial crisis hit. After witnessing the effect that this had on my father’s business and the stress that it can put on families and communities, I was encouraged to study finance and economics to better understand the root causes and how to avoid such material losses.
I started with Barry Investment Advisors as an intern doing investment research and started full time with the firm in 2015. I have always had a natural curiosity about the world and finance and this job has given me a unique lens to view and learn about both.
I am an avid tennis player and was a tennis instructor during my teenage years, working my way up to Head Pro by the age of 18. I am a sports fanatic and religiously follow my favorite sports teams, specifically Manchester United and all of professional soccer. I also enjoy traveling and specifically spending time at my family’s lake house in Lake Tahoe. One of the best pieces of advice I’ve heard is from Warren Buffett – “Ultimately, there’s one investment that supersedes all others: Invest in yourself. Nobody can take away what you’ve got in yourself, and everybody has potential they haven’t used yet.”
