While there has been plenty of coverage about AI’s ability to generate human-sounding text, mimic real voices, and create authentic-looking images, is AI good enough to replace you at work? In this video, Wall Street Journal columnist Joanna Stern creates an AI clone of herself, and has it attempt some of her daily tasks. While most people were able to tell the difference between Joanna and her clone, the AI did have some success – including, worryingly, passing bank voice authentication.
