In April, May, and June of this year, we saw a mass, voluntary exodus from the workforce. Over that three-month time span, the so-called "Great Resignation" resulted in 11.5 million workers quitting their jobs and leaving many employers with a number of open positions and nobody to fill them. Many companies have blamed enhanced unemployment benefits as the reason, but a recent report from the Harvard Business Journal found the real culprit: the recruiting and screening processes used by the companies themselves.
