Amazon’s Kuiper satellites are ready for launch, putting them on a proverbial collision course with SpaceX’s Starlink satellites. Both Starlink and Kuiper are designed to provide satellite-based Wi-Fi to people on the ground, making it much easier for people in remote or impoverished areas to access the internet. Musk stands to lose both revenue and prestige if Kuiper outperforms his satellites, while Amazon’s Jeff Bezos has nowhere to go but up.
