When It Comes To Happiness, Data Shows Money Isn’t Everything
Since 1938, the Harvard Study of Adult Development has tracked the lives of 724 men to learn about their lives: their work, their home life, their health, and everything in between. The purpose is to study these men (and, moving forward, the lives of the 2,000 children these men have had) to watch how their lives unfold and learn what really defines a happy and fulfilling life. And believe it or not, money doesn’t make them happier or healthier: good relationships do. In this TED Talk, the study’s program director Robert Waldinger discusses what he and his team have learned about the keys to a happy life.
