According to a report from Closing the Women’s Wealth Gap, women in America have far fewer assets (liquid savings, retirement funds, home equity, and so on) than men. The gender gap in investing plays a big role in this disparity: a 2021 NerdWallet survey found that only 48% of women invest in the stock market, compared to 66% of men. Yet even though women invest less than men, women who do invest are more successful. This Forbes article discusses why.
